08/08-IELTS Writing Task 5(Agree/Disagree- Family/Friend in Relationship)-Hank

The debate over whether family or friends serve as a more dominant factor in an individual’s life underlies compelling arguments on both sides. However, I firmly believe that the former plays a much more vital role in shaping our life, which inevitably forges every part and parcel of our journey from birth to death. Furthermore, the intergenerational succession within families encapsulates the very essence of human civilization’s mechanism.

To begin with, wealth transferred from parents to kids plays a pivotal role in their life trajectory. On average, higher financial status correlates with greater educational attainment, which in turn pave the way to a more prosperous and stable life. For example, a study conducted in Taiwan examined the relationship between university rankings and students’ family income. Unsurprisingly, the results exhibited positive relationship with both statistical significance and economical significance, making the findings both notable and convincible, and reinforced the claim above.

Furthermore, intangible values such as visions and mindset, which cannot be easily quantified, are often passed down through parental system. Thus, families unconsciously influencing(influence) how individuals behave and respond to society, shaping their personality trait, career aspirations, and even the type of friend group they would form. For instance, in one of the Taiwan’s common stereotypes of success, a wealthy family often consist of a pair of doctor parents and a gifted child. From an early age, the kid is likely to receive mathematics training, bilingual education and musical instruction. Additionally, the kid would gradually internalize all the “success blueprint” inherited from the parents. Finally, the kid might launch a prestigious career as a doctor and find cozy among peers from equivalent families.

In conclusion, though friend groups may add vibrant melodies to the composition of life, it is family that preludes the fundemental rhythms, rooting all the inheritance in our heart and fundamentally shaping who we are.
