Educational inequality between wealthy and poverty families is a vital concern in many countries. Some people believe that this issue will always exist because of differences of family background, while others believe this gap can be reduced by government policies and social programs. This essay will discuss both views before presenting my opinion.
On the one hand, educational disparity is unavoidable in this modern society. Wealthier parents can provide various educational resources, such as private tutor and high quality educational information, without financial pressure, which enhance children academic performance. Besides, high-income family often have stronger social network and more knowledge beyond the classroom, guiding and providing more value career advice to their next generation. Therefore, young people from rich backgrounds often enjoy advantages that poor students cannot easily obtain.
On the other hand, many individuals still believe that narrowing the gap of educational inequality is available. Government can provide scholarship or financial supports to those students from poor families, which not only encourage them to continue their education but also release their financial burden. Furthermore, social program such as investing more school in rural area will improve quality of teachers and learning facilities, contributing to more academically supportive environment. As a result, these methods help poverty students get more opportunities, solving the problem of educational disparity.
In conclusion, although economic different causes education equality become difficult to achieve, I believe it can be reduced by effective government and social support. Therefore, societies should focus on ensure that every students has a fair chance to succeed regardless of their financial background.
