It is observed that whether the cutting edge(cutting-edged) of technology affects our society positively or negatively is still a question. However, there are some different views by people. From my perspective, technology can lead us to a positive future. In the following, I will discuss the reason why it brings benefits to us and give an example.

Firstly, technology allows our lives to become effective and efficient. For instance, smartphones are capable of connecting with people in a virtual world, especially in an era of COVID. Although we couldn’t see our loved ones or friends, we still could get in touch with them by online video and send messages when we were in self-quarantine.(Example: efficient) This clearly demonstrates that technology is rapidly changing the distance between people.

Additionally, technology not only helps individuals but also enhances business performances positively. Large corporations can cut operation costs and spend more time on pushing out new products and innovating new ideas. (Example: Nvidia) Following that, it also directly contributes to the society as a whole, offering employees a job(creating jobs) and leading to higher productivity. As a result, a country’s economic growth may gradually rise year by year.

To sum up, although there are some differing opinions on technology, I strongly agree that technology affects our society positively based on the reasons discussed above. The evidence and examples provided confirm that it enhances people’s lives, upgrades business  performance, and facilitates social welfare.
