In this generation, social media influencers have gained  tremendous power in society. While some argue that social media celebrities can create various adverse effects, I firmly believe that their overall impact has a beneficial influence due to their ability to inspire positive lifestyle changes and raise social awareness.

On one hand, social media influencers bring a positive influence by serving as a source of inspiration and education. Most influencers motivated(motivate) the youngsters through their self-experience, helping them face pressure, depression and even educating them approaches to improve themselves. For instance, dodo men, a renowned youtube channel was founded by two former Silicon Valley engineers, who are passionate about taking on challenges and experiencing things that are usually inaccessible or intimidating, with the goal of stepping out of their comfort zone. Their belief is not only to bring joy to others but also to encourage individuals to try things they’ve always wanted to do but never had the courage to pursue.(Outcome)

Conversely, these celebrities can also generate negative consequences when their content promotes incorrect life-value or harmful behavior. Some influencers prioritize entertainment over authenticity owing to attracting(in order to attract) people’s attention. They showcase exaggerated luxury or idealized beauty standards that may mislead young audiences. For example, a lot of key opinion leaders prefer to post their over-slim body and sell strange weight-loss products, not only spreading unhealthy beauty standards, but also evoking an individual’s anxiety of their appearance. What’s worse, these followers will desire to imitate the celebrity  and purchase the unidentified products, which could be harmful to their physical health.

In short, although concerns regarding the disadvantageous effect of social media influencers on society, the positive influence far outweighs the negatives. Influencers play a significant role model in educating and inspiring people to pursue their life goals, thus, I consider these celebrities create overall benefits in contemporary society, especially among youngsters.
