Overall, youngers who aged 18-24 years old were far more active on social media, particularly on TikTok and Instagram, while middle-aged adults showed a preference on Facebook instead of TikTok.
For the youngest group who aged 18-24, TikTok had the highest percentage at 90%, followed by Instagram at 85%. Around 60% youngers used Facebook, whereas Twitter and Linkedln were much less common, at 40% and 20%, respectively. This shows that younger users were more interested in video-based platforms.
Among people aged 25–34, Instagram and Facebook were the most popular, at 70% and 65%. Conversely, the ratio of TikTok users dropped to 60%. For the 35-44 age group, Facebook ranked first at 55%, followed by Instagram at 50% and LinkedIn at 45%, showing older users preferred classic or work-related social apps.
