The table gives information about the proportion of people who use five different social media platforms among three groups-18-24, 25-34, 35-44 years old-during 2022.
Overall, it was clear that younger people showed a preference for TikTok and Instagram, while older people favored Likedin. Fcebook usage remained relatively stable across all age groups.
Among(With) closer examination we could see that TikTok was by far the most popular platform among 18-24 years old groups, at 90%, followed closely by Instagram at 85%. In contrast, LinkedIn attracted only 20% of users in this group, making it their least favored platform. Among the 25-34 age group, Instagram remained popular at 70%, though TikTok usage dropped sharply to 60%. Moreover, The percentage of Facebook user was 65% in 25-34 age group, which was slightly higher than in the youngest group.
On the contrary, LinkedIn recorded the highest(higher) usage rate at 45% in individuals aged 35-44 than in aged 25-34 and 18-24 age groups at 35% and 20%, respectively. The proportion of Facebook users in this group stood at 55%, showing minimal variation compared to younger cohorts. Conversely, Twitter showed only 25% of the oldest group, down from 40% among those aged 18-24, indicating a consistent downward trend among ages.
