The question of whether work-life balance or working long hours leads to success is often debated. This issue has gained attention recently, dividing opinions. In my view, I agree with the idea that having a good work-life balance has a significant positive impact. This essay will discuss my reasons for this stance and provide examples to support my opinion, leading to a reasoned conclusion.
Firstly, one of the main reasons why I believe work-life balance is better is because it protects people’s health. For example, I read a news story about a person who worked over twelve hours a day for many years. Although this person got promoted, later they had serious health problems and had to take a long rest. This clearly shows that success should not come at the cost of health.
Furthermore, it dawned on me that work-life balance is beneficial when I consider happiness. On the news, I saw an interview with someone who worked regular hours and used free time for exercise and family. This person looked happy and full of energy. In addition, relaxing after work helps people stay focused and make better decisions.
In conclusion, although there are differing opinions on whether working long hours is necessary, I strongly believe that a good work-life balance is more helpful for long-term success. The evidence and examples provided confirm that health, happiness, and rest are important parts of success.
