7/22-IELTS Writing Task 2-Reico

The issue of educational disparity between affluent and disadvantaged students has become increasingly prominent in today’s society, with many holding diverging views. On one hand, some argue that such gaps are inevitable, while on the other hand, others contend they can be ameliorated through government efforts. This essay will explore both perspectives before presenting my own stance.

Firstly, those who believe inequality is unavoidable point to three main factors. In terms of schools, schools in remote areas lack adequate educational resources, such as teacher quality and less facilities. Experienced instructors prefer urban centres with better pay and infrastructure. Therefore, urban students generally can access good quality resources. Whereas, affluent parents can afford private tutoring, overseas study opportunities, which are prohibitively expensive for poorer families. In contrast, disadvantaged students only can accept common knowledges from school with limit resources. Finally, for society, governments often channel more funding to urban or high‑performing schools, lead to schools in rural area lack resources to help their students. This shows that issue is harder to be improved.

On the other hand, others believe that educational disparity between rich and poor students can be improved because through government policies and social initiatives, this issue might can be reduced. For example, governments might subsidise rural schools and encourage them to apply for grants to help their students access enhance educational resources and qualities. Additionally, Many governments have required grant recipients to commit to teaching in underserved areas. Finally, volunteer programs sometimes staffed by overseas teachers to bolster local instruction. This suggests that government still can engage in this direction and reducing educational disparity between rich and poor students.

In conclusion, while policies, strategies can mitigate inequality, they cannot fully eliminate it. Therefore, I consider that socio‑economic disparities in education cannot be totally solved.
