The data gives information about the proportion of users using various social media platforms in different age groups (18-24, 25-34, and 35-44 years old ) in 2022.

Overall, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok were popular among 18-34 age users in 2022. Twitter and LinkedIn were less popular among this  group compared to the other platforms. In contrast, among 35-44 age group, platforms usage rates declined significantly. However, instead of TikTok, LinkedIn was popular than among 34-44 age group.

In 2022, the number of platforms ( Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok ) were all over sixty per cent, showing the highly popular among users aged 18-24. Therefore, the usage ratings were 85%, 60%, and 90% respectively, and TikTok had the highest usage rate (90%). Moreover, aged 25-34 had decreased compared to previous group,  the usage ratings in the same order were 70%, 65%, and 60% respectively, and Instagram had highest usage rate (70%) among 25-25 age group.

On the other hand, among the aged 35-44 group, the number of users decreased noticeably to under 55%. The most popular were Facebook by 55%, followed by instagram at 50%. Particular, although the number of LinkedIn users were only 45%, it was still higher than other aged groups, which used the same platform and only under 40%.

In the 18–24 age group, TikTok was the most widely used platform, with 90% of users, followed closely by Instagram at 85%. Facebook usage in this group was lower, at 60%, while Twitter and LinkedIn were the least popular, at 40% and 20%, respectively.

    For those aged 25–34, Instagram remained popular, with 70% usage, while TikTok saw a decline to 60%. Facebook use was slightly higher at 65%, while Twitter and LinkedIn were used by 35% of this group. Among the 35–44 age group, LinkedIn usage increased to 45%, making it the most popular platform for this demographic. Facebook followed closely at 55%, while Instagram and TikTok saw significant drops, with 50% and 35% usage, respectively. Twitter remained the least used platform at only 25%.

    In summary, social media preferences varied significantly across age groups, with younger users favoring TikTok and Instagram, while older users leaned towards LinkedIn and Facebook.
