Weekend– choose one episode you feel the most interesting or hardest and answer the questions on the record sheet. We would go through this episode weekly

Clash– to fight or argue violently, in conflict or disagreement/ not match in appearance. The two group clashed during the protest. Their personalities crashed from the beginning. Those two colours clash badly. Vandalism– The intentional and malicious destruction or damage of property without permission. Graffiti on historical buildings is considered vandalism. Looting– The act of stealing goods during a time of chaos or disorder. There were widespread reports of looting after the earthquake. Curfews– a restriction where people are banned from being outside in a particular place and time. parents can give their children a curfew- a time they need to be home by the evening. Deploy– to arrange the resources or people for particular purpose. The company deploy a new strategy to boost sales. Quell– to stop sth unpleasant through force or authority. The government deploy troops to quell the uprising. Self-fulfilling prophecy– a situation where taking and thinking about sth, making it happen. Her fear of failure became a self-fulfilling prophecy when anxiety lead her to underperform. |
