There has been a widespread argument regarding which influences more in a person’s life. Some people believe family plays a more crucial role, while others argue that friends bring about more significant effects than family. I agree that family impact is greater than friends‘.

Family support is difficult given by friends.(A sense of supporting can be hardly given by friends) The main reason is that friends can not stay with ourselves all the time, but family members are always by us(our) sides. When children meet difficulty from school or study, family play a role as accompanying and providing emotional support. For instance, if people feel frustrated and do not sure which decision they should make during difficult term, parents are likely to encourage them and provide some suggestions from their own experience. In addition, family helps not only offer emotional support, but also provide financial assistance and take care children trivial lives. (Example)Therefore, family plays a key role on every person’s life and is hard to be replaced by other relationships.

Moreover, children are shaped by perspectives, personality, and values by(of) parents and other family members. Especially to parents, they teach children many principles, including being polite, respectful, and honest. All of the characteristics are likely to influence a person’s behavior and direction of life throughout a whole life. For example, people learn the importance of honesty from parents because it may help them to get rewards in school or workplace. As a result, family contributes to a decisive factor in shaping what kind of person they become.(Personal example)

In conclusion, while friends are likely to affect certain aspects of people’s lives, I still believe that family influence is more significant than friendship compared to a long term, including practical suggestions, emotion offering, and value shaping.
