7/19 Discussion- peer pressure nathan

The topic of peer pressure has became increasingly important in today’s society, with many people holding different opinions. Some argue that peer pressure helps young people improve and learn from others, while others believe that it causes them to make bad decisions and lose their true selves. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and provide my own opinion on the matter.

Firstly, those who support the idea that peer pressure is helpful often argue that it can motivate teenagers to do better(and create an exceptional learning opportunity). For instance, if a student sees their friends studying hard and getting good grades, they may feel encourage(motivated) to study more as well. (Example)This show that peer pressure can help young people develop good habits and become more responsible. (Example: create an exceptional learning opportunity)

On the other hand, others believe that peer pressure is harmful because it can lead to poor choices(and distort values). For example, some teenagers may smoke or skip class just to fit in with their group. (Example) This suggests that peer pressure can push students to follow the wrong path, especially when they are not confident in themselves.(Example: distort values)

In conclusion, while there are valid arguments on both sides of the debate surrounding peer pressure, I believe that it has more negative effects. Although it can sometimes inspire students, it often leads to actions that hurt their health, studies, or personal growth. Therefore, young people should learn to think for themselves and make choices based on what is right, not just what others do.

  1. 讚讚:
