Undoubtedly, with the importance of  globalization and international communication highly emphasized, the ability to speak a foreign language has become more important than ever. Whereas some people look upon learning a second language from an early age as the most viable means to make children speaks(speak) fluently, others believe it is beneficial to begin language learning  in later stages of life. As for my respective, I am in favor of the former, and the reason will be elaborated on thoroughly as followings.

An array of causes may lead to why some individuals argue that learning a foreign language later in life is more effective. To begin with, due to(given that) adults generally have more developed logical thinking and analysis skills, they tend to approach language learning in a structured and systematic way. For example, adults are better at understanding grammar rules, which can accelerate their learning. Secondly, older learners usually have stronger motivation and clearer goals. In other words, when people learn a language for career advancement, or immigration, their purpose often leads to more efficient learning.

On the other hand, as far as I am concerned, acquiring a foreign language at an early age may truly bring more benefits to children. Firstly, due to children are more able to absorbing new languages naturally and effortlessly. For instance, many young learners can imitate native-like pronunciation simply through daily exposure without formal education. Moreover, early language learning enables children to access knowledge from diverse subjects earlier in life. That is to say, understanding a foreign language broadens their horizons, allowing them to explore cultures, sciences, and histories through multiple languages resources.

In conclusion, based on the aforementioned, I am firmly convinced that learning languages at an early age can genuinely usher in more merits due to children absorb easily and can gain more wide range of knowledge by using multiple languages.
