Technology has grown rapidly in this generation, and the situation will lead people to have a different view. Certain people insist that technology has a more beneficial effect on society. However, another group of people disagrees with this opinion; they think technology will lead to(has) more drawbacks in society. From my perspective, there are both pros and cons. Such as technology can bring convenience and isolation at the same time. These factors make both arguments understandable to me. (and the reasons would be elaborated in the following paragraphs)
On the one hand, Technology makes life convenient. For instance, people can use the phone to connect with others wherever they are and at any time. This could make people immigrating, studying, or working abroad feel that they have a simple solution to connect with others overseas.(Example: yourself) Also, people can immediately connect with someone who can solve the emergency problem.(Example: emergent problem) These reasons show that technology has a positive impact on society.
However, technology leads people to feel isolated. For example, technology may cause people to spend more time on the phone, because some people feel more comfortable chatting about their feelings behind the screen rather than meeting in person. This situation will cause people to feel isolated offline because they reduce the time speaking with people directly, and make them feel anxious about having the conversation. According to this reason, technology has a negative effect.
To sum up, Technology can change life and become convenient, which gives people a beneficial effect. Nevertheless, technology does not just have a positive impact. People may increase loneliness when they spend time on it.
