  1. The table illustrates the annual revenue generated by five prominent technology firms—Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Meta—across two specific years, 2020 and 2023. Figures are presented in billions of US dollars.

Overall, it is immediately apparent that all five companies experienced significant growth in revenue over the three-year period. Amazon emerged as the most dominant player by 2023, while Meta consistently recorded the lowest earnings among the group.

In 2020, Amazon and Apple were the market leaders, earning $280 billion and $260 billion respectively. However, by 2023, Amazon’s revenue surged by nearly 80%, reaching a staggering $500 billion, making it the highest-earning company on the list. Apple also saw substantial growth, with its figures climbing to $400 billion.

Regarding the remaining three companies, Google and Microsoft followed a similar upward trajectory. Google’s revenue rose from $180 billion in 2020 to $280 billion in 2023. Microsoft, which started at a lower base of $140 billion, saw its earnings increase to $230 billion. Finally, Meta, despite having the smallest market share, nearly doubled its revenue from $70 billion to $120 billion by the end of the period.
