Some people think social media influencers give a lot good things to society, while others believe thay give more bad things(they are detrimental). In my opinion, I agree that influencers can have both good and bad impacts, but the negative side is stronger.
On the one hand, influencers can share useful information(and motivate others). For example, many fitness influencers teach people how to exercise and eat healthy.(Personal example) Others share there life tips or new products to help people relax after works.In this way, influencers can inspire and motivate people to improve there lives.(Personal example)
On the other hand, influencers sometimes spread unrealistic lifestyles(,making audience possess distorted value). For example, even if they do not have high income, they still pretend by buying luxury clothes and traveling abroad. To keep a certain body image on screen, some of them go on extreme diet of fast in unhealthy ways. Young people may compare themselves and then feel stressed or unhappy. In addition, some influencers promote products only to earn money, even if the products are not really well. This can make mislead their fellowers and cause them to waste money.
In concluaions(conclusion), while social media influencers can give some benefits, I believe their negative influence on young and society is greater. Therefore, we need to be careful and think more when we fellow them.
