Some believe that social media influencers bring about positive changes on society, while others argue that they have social repercussions. This essay totally agree that social media influencers bring negative impacts on society as the lifestyle influencers present may be distorting(distort) teenagers’ values and there is a high chance influencers using followers’ trust to benefit themselves.
Though social media influencers have positive influences such as sharing their own experiences and providing their audiences more opportunities to discover the world, social media influencers(those individuals are) more easily to brings negative impact to the society especially on teenagers. Influencers tend to present their glamour moment to the public leading adolescent to believe that success, fame and money come easily without seeing how much effort, planing, and challenges influencers acquire(undergo) in their lives. Therefore, young people today, dream to be influencers since influencers demonstrate the possibilities of turning passion into a career. However, many YouTubers choose to have a long break since the longterm stressful lifestyle and competitive working environment have already seriously affected their mental health.(a fact that are hardly known to public) This underestimation twists young people’s view, affecting their career choice and when the reality does not match their expectation, they will be disappointed.
On the other hand, social media influencers may take advantages on their followers. People gradually build up the trust from influencers‘ daily feeds or short videos. Followers believe that the products influencers using daily are all in good qualities and these products are the reasons why the influencers become themselves today. However, this may be a misinformation since influencers promote the products may just because of the agreement they have signed with the brands. This exposes society under the risks involving product safety as well as public health. (Concrete example)
In conclusion, comparing to the positive impacts influencers bring to society, social media influencers tend to easily affect society in a negative way. The unrealistic expectations of influencers’ lifestyle can mislead teenagers’ career choices and may also expose their followers to safety and health risks due to excessive trust.

Introduction
The question of whether social media influencers have a positive or negative effect is often debated. This issue has gained attention recently, dividing opinions. In my view, I disagree with the idea that social media influencers have a significant positive impact. This essay will discuss my reasons for this stance and provide examples to support my opinion, leading to a reasoned conclusion.
Body Paragraph 1
Firstly, one of the main reasons why I believe influencers have a negative impact is because of the unrealistic lifestyles and standards they promote. For example, many influencers showcase highly curated images of wealth, luxury, and physical perfection, which can create unhealthy comparisons for young people. This clearly demonstrates that such portrayals contribute to body image issues, low self-esteem, and unrealistic expectations, especially among impressionable audiences.
Body Paragraph 2
Furthermore, it dawned on me that social media influencers are often detrimental(bad/harmful) when I consider their profit-driven content. Take product promotions, for example. Influencers often endorse products that they may not personally use or even believe in, simply for financial gain. In addition, this type of marketing can lead to consumers being misled by influencers’ recommendations, prioritizing profits over ethical responsibility.
Conclusion
In conclusion, although there are differing opinions on social media influencers’ impact, I strongly believe that their influence is largely negative based on the reasons discussed above. The evidence and examples provided confirm that their promotion of unrealistic standards and profit-driven motives outweigh any potential benefits they might offer to society.
