6/10-IELTS Writing Task 2-Elsa

Nowadays, people have began to debate whether social media influencers have a positive or negative influence on the internet to society in this era of information explosion.  In my opinion, I strongly agree that influencers can have a positive effect on society, and they can also have the ability to bring a negative impact.

On the positive side, social media influencers bring a lot of changes for their followers. They often share their own experience on their website to encourage and inspire others, such as travel adventures, fitness process and product reviews. For instance, a travel influencer might post some articles about budget tips or travel routines, which can provide useful advice to followers to plan their own trips. (personal experience) Similarly, influencers who unbox and review products can provide honest opinions that help people make more informed(the right) decisions about products.

On the other hand, the negative impacts of social media influencers are significant.  Some influencers in order to gain more income from brands by promote products that provide unreal information and using experience.(In order to gain more income from brands, some influencer offer unreal information and user experience regarding the endorsed commodity.) For example, influencers in order to increase product sales to profit. They might over exaggerate their experience of products or advertise products they actually don’t use to enhance their positive reviews and then earn more revenue, which can mislead followers. (outcome)

In conclusion, although social media influencers can have a positive impact on providing fabulous personal travel experience, they can also create negative effect by spreading misleading information. Therefore, it’s vital for influencers and their followers to evaluate the context that being shared.
